Common questions

Do I need a lawyer to review a commercial lease?

A commercial lease is a significant long-term commitment. Many tenants sign without fully understanding their obligations — including make-good clauses, rent review mechanisms, and personal guarantee requirements. A lease review identifies these risks before you are bound by them.

What happens if I sign without a review?

You're bound by the lease as written, including clauses that are easy to miss without legal experience — a make-good obligation that requires stripping the premises back to bare shell at your cost, a personal guarantee that puts your own assets behind the company's obligations, or a rent review mechanism that compounds faster than expected. These are far cheaper to negotiate before signing than to renegotiate — or live with — afterward.
